Visiting Benalmádena has possibly been one of the best experiences of my life and one of the nicest places i have ever seen. Benalmádena has a great deal to offer no matter what sort of holiday you want. It seems to have it all! I was very fortunate to spend 12 lovely days in this place and get up to lots of stuff that i would like to share with you guys.
Adventure in the day, Party by night. Whether you are there with your family, partner, or friends; there is a great deal that you can get up too in Benalmádena, but there is definitely one thing that i would recommend doing. If you are the sort of person that would like to get out and explore what this wonderful city has to offer i would highly recommend doing the ‘City Sightseeing Benalmádena- Hop On- Hop Off Bus’ The bus stops at 11 locations which includes almost every Tourist Attraction in Benalmádena:
At only €13 the ticket is valid for a total of 2 days and you can get on and off the bus as many times as you want. The bus also offers an audio guide in which they give you a pair of headphones that you can plug in and listen to a guide in 8 different languages. This bus is a great option for everybody and also has an open roof which makes it a great for sightseeing.
Whilst on my travels i didn’t just get to explore the wonders of Benalmádena i managed to visit other big spots such as Malaga, Fuengirola, and Marbella all by bus. In Benalmádena you can very easily get a bus to practically anywhere in the province of Malaga for as little as €1.70 per journey.

There are many activities to do in Benalmádena alone but if you are feeling really adventurous there are some great ones in the surrounding areas also. These include:
- Aventura Amazonia Marbella: This is a great place for all the family. It’s a Tree-Top Adventure Park that includes Andalusia’s Longest Zipline. This attraction contains many circuits at different heights for all ages and offers 3 hours of adventure.
- Bioparc Fuengirola: This place is a great place for everyone! The Zoo contains a variety of animals which means there is a lot to see, so you will be sure to have a good time here!
- Karting Experience: As you can tell by the name this is a Go-Karting experience. This was definitely one of the funner things that i did on holiday. The center contains different tracks for different ages meaning it is good for small kids too, and you even get your own photograph when the experience is over.
If you are looking for something different than adventures, Malaga, Fuengirola, and Marbella all make for good shopping trips. With each place containing a variety of shops, shopping centres, and high-end stores each make for a great place to go shopping which unfortunately you cannot really get in Benalmádena itself; but it’s beauty, atmosphere, and great attractions certainly make up for this.
To end my blog on an important note there are a few things that i feel are important to remember if you are travelling to Spain.
- In Spain a lot of Supermarkets and Shops actually close on a Sunday so it’s important to remember this if planning a trip. I actually did make the mistake of planning a trip to Marbella on a Sunday and practically every shop was closed, even the shopping centers; but it was still beautiful nevertheless. .
- Please be aware and vigilant that Spain is on a severe terror threat level, particularly along the Costa Del Sol. This means that there will be a higher level of police about in the area. If you notice anything suspicious or are in danger then the Eurpoean Emergency Number is 112
